What’s Pink Prosecco?
Prosecco’s millenial little sister has arrived – this pink sparkling wine is a fairly new addition to the fizz family, and is perfect for those gorgeous Instagram shots. Officially green-lighted by the Italian government, it’s been hitting the UK in a big way this year.
How Is Pink Prosecco Made?
Being pink in the prosecco world is’nt easy. The drink is made from Glera grapes that come from the northern region of Veneto in Italy, and has to contain 10-15% Pinot Nero grapes, a red wine grape, to create the ultra-popular pink hue.
What’s the best Pink Prosecco?
Of course, as London’s first Prosecco bar, our drinks list wouldn’t be complete without a lovely selection of the good stuff. Here’s the lowdown on our favourites:
First, we start off with Rivalta Spumante Rose? Brut, our delicate pink, with persistent perlage and a dry, round, and harmonic taste of berries and viola. Perfect for your first date-night at our Tower Bridge bar.
Want a more sophisticated yet fragrant taste? Then our Serafini & Vidotto Bollicine Rosé is for you. This prosecco, with a colour that closely resembles peach blossoms, has a fruity and aromatic smell of blackcurrant, wild strawberries, pomegranate, and eglantine. This flowery and fruity prosecco is beautifully smooth – a wonderful option for a drinkable bottle to share with friends.
For something a little different, we recommended Ettore Germano Brut Rose? Metodo Classico 'Rosanna'. This fresh and creamy, yet spicy prosecco has a lovely floral finish, and a gorgeous coral hue.
Lastly, and perhaps our personal favourite, is the Le Manzane Spumante Rose? Brut, a sparkling rose? wine that’s refreshing and sweet with notes of red berry. This one is perfect paired with our delicious salty nibbles on a long & lazy Saturday afternoon at our bar.
