A Vineyard Story - Marchiori
For this month’s Vineyard Story, we’re bringing you the history behind another one of our DOCG Proseccos, heading to winery of the Marchiori family in Farra di
The family business began in the 1970s, producing Prosecco in the most sustainable way to give the customer a guaranteed product, full of real natural taste. The family owns 12 hectares divided into 16 different steep slopes allowing the perfect exposure to the sun and altitude, making every grape (and bottle) a little different.
“We vinify vineyard grapes separately in order to give importance to the feature of each vineyard. In our hills we cultivate not only (that forms the basis of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG wine and all the Prosecco DOC) but also Lunga and ancient varieties like Perera, and that have and are very useful for giving the wine a satisfying harmonious structure. We are the only winery able to produce that ancient varieties pure; for that reason, our Prosecco Superiore DOCG is called “5 ”.
With three delicious Marchiori bottles to choose from including the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry - a tasty and beautiful fragrant taste with seductive white flower and yellow fruit, citrus and balsamic hints. Try a glass with its sweet notes of candied fruit, sage and daisy.
